History of Fostoria Baptist Church

In 1968, a group of seven families began holding services in the home of Don Thatcher. The new church was called "Fostoria Baptist Church." By 1969, the church moved to a former restaurant in Fostoria. Soon plans were being made to construct a church building, and the ground breaking ceremony took place in 1974. The building was erected with a great deal of volunteer labor by the church people, and the Dedication Service was held in 1976. Since then an educational wing in 1982 and a gymnasium in 2000 were added to accommodate the growing church family. Now as the church continues to minister to the surrounding communities, we look forward to what God has in store for the future.
